DESCRIPTION:On the Table MKE will occur on Thursday\, October 10\, 2019. You are warmly invited to join our pre-Slam ‘On the Table’ discussion and then attend the Slam for only $5!  \nFrom 5:30 to 7 pm on Thurs Oct 10\, this ‘On the Table’ program will help you connect with individuals from other neighborhoods. A coordinator who will pose fun get-to-know-you questions on the theme of “Signs”\, and Ex Fabula will purchase the first appetizer (dinner and drinks are up to each individual). No need to prepare anything in advance\, and no pressure to share a story at the Slam (7:30 to 9:30 pm) but don’t be surprised if this experience helps you discover stories worth telling :) \nThere’s only one spot per city/neighborhood\, so if you’re the first to sign up\, we’ll email a link to purchase your $5 ticket. Yes\, that means you get to attend the Slam for only $5 instead of $10! \nAbout On the Table MKE:\nCreated by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and driven by the community\, On the Table MKE is a collection of large and small community conversations that anyone can host. DESCRIPTION:StorySlam: Signs\nThursday\, October 10th 2019 7:30 – 9:45 pm\nCompany Brewing\nTicket Price: $10 in advance\, $12 at the door\nDinner reservations are encouraged! \nEx Fabula StorySlams connect Milwaukee through true\, personal stories. No props\, no notes- just real stories told by real people. This StorySlam will feature stories related to the theme of Signs: stories of ignoring the obvious\, red flags and the zodiac. \nYou can come just to listen or\, if you have a story related to the night’s theme and can share it in 5 minutes or less\, throw your name in the hat for a chance to take the stage. Another way to share stories is via UltraShorts\, which are brief\, true personal stories written on slips of paper and then read onstage by the emcee. At the end of the night\, the audience votes and an Audience Favorite is crowned. \nPlease note that for Ex Fabula’s monthly StorySlams\, doors open at 6:30 and seating is General Admission.
