Experience the power of storytelling in ASL!

Date: Sunday April 26, 2026 Time: 4:30pm doors, 5pm stories Location: Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. (Walker’s Point), 224 W Bruce St, Milwaukee, WI 53204 Cost: $15 at the door If there are no tickets left: contact us to get on the wait list. Please include how many tickets you want and a phone number where we can text you! The 7th Annual Deaf Stories Project StorySlam is an evening of true and personal stories told by Deaf community members. Storytellers will take the stage to share stories on the night's theme of "Jaw Dropping." This event is open to all! ASL to Spoken English interpretation provided.

StorySlam: Second Chances 9/25

Second Chances: Stories of Forgiveness, Starting Over, and Trying Again

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025 Time: 6:30pm doors, 7pm stories. Location: Sugar Maple, 441 E Lincoln Ave Milwaukee WI 53207

Cost: $15 at the door if tickets remain. Limited Pay-it-forward tickets available!

Ex Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true, personal stories related to the night’s theme, told without props or notes. Come to listen – or throw your name in the hat for a chance to share a true story related to the theme of Second Chances. At the end of the night, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an Audience Favorite, who will be invited to share a story at ALL STARS in May.

The audience can also be a part of the storytelling by submitting UltraShorts! These are "ultra-short" stories on the night's theme that will be read onstage by the emcee.

Live ASL interpretation will be available for this event.

Date: Tuesday, January 6, 2026 Time: 6:30pm doors, 7pm stories Location: Pilot Project Brewing, 1128 N 9th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233 Advance ticket sales are now closed. Walk-up tickets are still available! To purchase tickets, visit Will Call starting at 6:30pm. Cost: $15 at the door Ex Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true, personal stories related to the night’s theme, told without props or notes. At the end of the night, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an Audience Favorite, who will be invited to share a story at ALL STARS in May. This event will feature live interpretation in American Sign Language! Food and drink will be available for purchase from the bar at Pilot Project Brewing starting at 6PM, with limited service continuing throughout the slam.

Ex Fabula’s annual ALL STARS event features community members who were voted “Audience Favorites” at regular season StorySlams; they’ll return to the stage to share new, 10-minute stories on the evening’s theme of Ancestors. At the end of the night, the audience votes and crowns a Season 17 Audience Favorite!
