AfterDark: For The Culture – A Night Celebrating Black and Brown Voices
Date: Thursday, February 12 Time: Doors open at 6pm, stories begin at 7pm Location: Radio Milwaukee, 220 E Pittsburgh Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53204 Cost: Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Limited Pay-it-forward tickets available! In collaboration with HYFIN, this non-competitive evening of live spoken word, poetry, and storytelling celebrates Black and Brown voices and brings together a blend of curated speakers with storytellers drawn from the audience. Featured tellers to be announced! Throughout the night, you can also submit an UltraShort. These are short stories (a few sentences) on the night’s theme that the emcee reads on stage.
