Spring is here! No, really it is. Time to shake off those winter woes! Did you know that Ex Fabula stories can be heard all over the community? True story!
On Sunday March 29 from 12pm to 3pm, the Zeidler Center for Public Discussion and FROM HERE TO HER Artist Collective! present the Women’s Community Dialogue. This community event will be held at the Live Artists Studio. Attendees will connect over a shared meal and discuss “how women relate to each other. To demonstrate the power of mutual support & coalition-building among women in the ongoing fight for gender equality”. This event is a part of MY SISTER’S STORY: A Public Art & Community Dialogue Project. There will be a few Ex Fabula stories told at this event as well!
Ex Fabula returns to Hot Water Wherehouse for April’s StorySlam. Join us Thursday April 16 for tales on the theme “Do the Math”. (Pencils, scratch paper not required). Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7:30pm. Be sure to come early for great seating & parking! Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance. All proceeds provide continued funding of Ex Fabula programs. Interested in sharing a true, personal story? Great! Please arrive least 15 minutes early so you can put your name in the hat. If selected as one of the evening’s nine storytellers, your story could land you the title of audience favorite and secure you the final spot at the ALL STARS event in May! Prepare yourself by reviewing our storytelling guidelines.
A big thank to April’s sponsor Starting Line Athletics, a personal training company located in Bay View. Sponsor and community partnerships strengthen community bonds, allowing Ex Fabula to continue its efforts to unite communities though the art of storytelling. Please support our efforts by making a donation of $6, 16 or $60 in honor of our 6th season. Your sponsorship of Ex Fabula is very much appreciated. See you soon!
